on call for jury duty
So I got the notice in the mail today that I should call in round about Jan 31 to see if I'm needed for jury duty; I'll be on call from Feb 2 through 12.
My sweetie asked if I was excited about it, because she has always wanted to serve. "Nah," I said. I'm not opposed to it either, just wondering about the hassle factor, etc. Since I'd hope to get a fair trial if I were ever charged with a crime, however, it's really a good idea to do my part to ensure that other people have one. (Aside from supporting the ACLU and Amnesty International, of course.)
Now if only I remembered where I put my white dress shirt, skinny black tie, and pleated chino pants.
